Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Aswan & The Nile
We’ll pick you up and introduce you to your expert local guide to kick off the journey. First up, we’ll explore the engineering marvel of the High Dam and the stunning Philae Temple island. Afterward, you’ll check into your cruise ship to unwind, grab a great dinner, and settle in for your first night on the water.
Day 2: Morning on the Nile & Abu Simbel Tour
Optional Excursion: It’s an early 4:30 AM start if you choose to take the trip to Abu Simbel. You’ll arrive around 8:00 AM to explore the breathtaking rock-cut temples built by King Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari, returning to the ship by noon.
For Everyone: If you skip the morning tour, enjoy a relaxed breakfast and a peaceful morning on board. By lunchtime, we begin sailing toward Kom Ombo. Take in the changing views from the deck as we navigate to Edfu for our overnight stay.
Day 3: Edfu Temple & The Icons of Luxor
We start the morning exploring Edfu Temple, a remarkably preserved tribute to the falcon god Horus, before jumping back on board to cruise toward Luxor via the famous Esna Lock. Once we arrive in Luxor, the real ancient magic begins. You’ll join your local guide to walk through the massive columns of Luxor Temple and the sprawling Karnak Temple complex home to the world’s largest hypostyle hall. Wrap up your day with a relaxed, memorable night exploring Luxor at your own pace.
Day 4: Hot Air Balloon & Valley of the Kings
Optional: Wake up early to soar above the West Bank of Luxor in a hot air balloon for an unforgettable sunrise view.
After breakfast, we head out to explore the legendary Valley of the Kings, stepping inside the ancient tombs of Egypt’s pharaohs. Next, you’ll discover the striking cliffside Temple of Hatshepsut and stand before the colossal statues of the Colossi of Memnon. The tour wraps up around 2:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to catch a train, head to the airport for a flight, or seamlessly extend your stay in Luxor.
